I write poems, not to express my feelings and thoughts to other people, but to understand them myself. Employing rhyme and rhythm forces me to consider the structure and words of my verse, which I find makes me think about the content more closely. And my poems reflect my mood at any given time. Each has grown out of a personal experience, which I have partly explained at the end the poem.
